1:1 career consultation

A career coaching conversation can help you to understand more about yourself, who you are and what is important to you. It is a space which allows for new ways of thinking and creates options and possibilities to help you improve your situation or simply appreciate what you have.

Career coaching is particularly beneficial for people who have reached a crossroads in their career, are feeling “stuck” or unfulfilled in their current role, are disappointed that they aren’t where they hoped they would be professionally .

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

● Gain a different perspective on your career options

● Create a plan to help you get a new job

● Feel like you are in control of your career and choices

● Gain clarity on your transferable skills and strengths

● Remain calm and be the best you can at interview

Career Coach: Denise Chilton

Denise Chilton is a career coach and leadership development facilitator. She has been supporting researchers and the academic community at the University of Liverpool for over 10 years so knows only too well the challenges faced by researchers.

A career coach on the Prosper pilot she has been providing group and individual coaching programme's for Post-docs and Early Career Academics since 2015 helping them to feel more confident, better manage their time, be more productive and develop their interpersonal skills.

In 2017 she won the Northern Power Woman Mentor of the Year Award for her work supporting women in STEM. She has worked with Faculties across the University delivering initiatives that have supported the Athena Swan Charter.
